the terrain of the park is a mixture of grassland, which of all Sri Lanka\u2019s wildlife reserves, best rivals the Savanna of Africa and shrub jungle.\u2800<\/p>\n

Over 200 of these magnificent creatures call Udawalawe their home which also has the famous rehabilitation center called the \u201cElephant Transit Home\u201d where injured or orphaned elephants are carefully re-introduced to the wild.<\/span><\/p>\n
